Campsite reviews - add your own!

Campsite review - add your own

Due to lots of factors, getting to new campsites isn't as easy as it once was.

So we are giving readers the opportunity to add your  own review of a campsite/campground and have them featured on our site.    Australian campsites only please.

But before you start emailing us what you loved (or didn't love) about your camping location, we need to share what we are looking for in a review.

To get your favourite camping location or maybe, one you just visited for the weekend featured, we need specifics.    It may sound like there are a lot, but it's all about making sure you, and readers like you, get the information they came to this site for.
Sure there are apps that tell you about campsites, but they don't ever give you the same level of information that we do.

  • All reviews must be detailed.   We need location information,  how to get there, distance from a city, what the campsites are like, amenities, special features, campfire/dog restrictions, suitability for different camping styles eg. access,  shade, privacy and costs.     The BIG picture.   Here is an example of a review that we would want  http://www.gocampingaustralia.com/spear-creek.html  and here is a guest post on Wollemi.
  • Format accepted for the review is either HTML or Word Doc.
  • We love photos!!  At least 6 high quality resolution photos with description.  Photos that show the campsites, the surrounds, anything you would want to know before going out to this location. Ideally, try not to  include photos of people, and make sure any photos you send you have not "borrowed" from someone else.  All photos should be provided separately to the written content.
  • We encourage you to write about the good and bad things of this campsite.  Not every campsite is brilliant, so tell us what you thought.

Some general information about reviews:

  •  Links to relevant sites eg. the National Parks, or booking information  will be allowed within the post because they are relevant to the story.
  • There will be no payment of any sort for a review.  We have no money.
  • We reserve the right to edit any review  including photos as we deem necessary and possibly update in future.
  • All reviews will clearly state that this was written by you (short author bio is allowed and 1 link in bio will be permitted)
  • If we think you are just advertising your own private campground, the review will not be accepted because that's an ad, not a review.
  • If we have reviewed the campground already, we can't accept yours.   Check our site.
  • This information is provided for campsite/campground reviews only.    For guest posts, product review, sponsored post, and advertising, you need to read this key information.

Still interested?

Then you can send your campground review to us at    [email protected]      Please clearly mark in the subject line that this is a review as we get hundreds of emails.
