  • Product Reviews - Disclosure

Most of the camping gear reviews are reviews of gear we have purchased ourselves.

We do review camping goods that are provided by stores/manufacturers, but only provide honest feedback in our reviews.  All suppliers of the camping goods are provided with information on how we go about reviewing an item.      They know that if we don't like something, we will tell you about it not keep it hidden.

If we have received an item to review - our story will always mention that we were gifted this item.     From that review, it's up to you to work out if you are interested in finding out more about that piece of gear,  or not.

We encourage you to always do your own independent investigations of any product before committing to purchase.   Please also read our disclaimer below.

  • Affiliates - Disclosure

Affiliates mean that we get a small amount of money if you purchase something from the site we are partnered with.   It's not going to be a lot, but might pay for an overnight camping fee now and again.

Why did we  choose these affiliates?

Because they are companies we use and we recommend.

We turn down many offers to affiliate with other companies because we don't use them.  Simple!       Only if we believe they offer YOU something special, then we consider partnering.

Currently you will see that we are affiliated with 3 outdoor companies.   All offer value for money, good service and quality merchandise.   They are:

Wild Earth
Cotswold Outdoor
Wilderness Wear

You will see their ads on our website and blog.     Some of our stories will feature their products.

  • Sponsored Posts - Disclosure

A sponsored post is  where we are financially compensated to write about a product or place based on information provided by the company.

We only accept a sponsored post if it is directly related to camping and the outdoors, and it's something we believe will add value to our site and to you.

All such posts will clearly state that it is a sponsored post.
